Privacy policy

PixelHarbour helps Shopify merchants send consented storefront events to a Meta dataset selected by the merchant and, when the merchant opts into the TikTok beta, to a selected TikTok data connection. This policy explains the app’s current data handling design.
Data we process
We process the merchant’s shop domain, store name, Shopify-provided merchant contact email, Shopify installation session, Meta Pixel or Dataset ID, encrypted Conversions API token, Test Event Code, Shopify event identifiers, storefront URL, browser user agent, Shopify client ID, Meta browser identifiers when present, and event commerce details such as product IDs, values, and currency. For an enabled TikTok connection, we also process the TikTok Pixel ID, encrypted Events API token, optional Test Event Code, hashed Shopify client ID, and available TikTok click or cookie identifiers. Merchant contact information is used only to operate the app and provide proactive or requested support.
Data we do not request
The current app does not request shopper names, customer email addresses, phone numbers, or postal addresses. Raw customer event payloads are not retained after successful delivery. Short-lived event IDs are kept for up to eight days to prevent duplicate delivery. Failed TikTok deliveries are stored encrypted for retry and deleted within eight days after they are delivered or permanently fail.
How data is used and shared
Event data is used only to provide the tracking service and is sent to Meta using the merchant’s credential and, only when configured and activated by the merchant, to TikTok using the merchant’s credential. Shopify controls when the Web Pixel runs based on the visitor’s consent and data-sale choices.
Security and deletion
Meta and TikTok access tokens and retry payloads are encrypted at rest. Shop credentials, queued deliveries, and event receipts are deleted when the app is uninstalled and again when Shopify sends its shop-redaction request. Shopify’s mandatory privacy requests are authenticated before processing.
